I now have my life back, not just existence. I hadn't seen fireworks since before my stroke. I really enjoyed the time we had at the cinema; thank you for giving up your free time. -Dee S

It is now nearly four months since Mum passed away and I am still struggling to come to terms with life without her. However had it not been for you and your amazing team she would not have had the chance to live to 98 in the comfort of her own home! I am so very grateful that you came into our lives and provided the most fantastic care for her particularly during the last eighteen months of her life. Nothing was ever too much trouble and I know that she appreciated your support (even though at times she was uncooperative). -Sue W

Introducing David

David came to Ashton Care in 2008 from a care home. He suffers from mental health issues so found daily living tasks challenging and was very withdrawn. Noises and lots of people can be a real struggle for David. Since we’ve got to know him, we’ve loved having chats about history, listened to him play his guitar, sung along to Elvis together and played games. We’ve had a wonderful time at the beach and even been to visit Portsmouth’s Historic Dockyard.
He’s planted beautiful flowers in the garden to enjoy whilst he’s sat out in the summer sunshine and gets involved with cooking and cleaning. David would love to trace his family and we’re helping him to do this at the moment.

Christmas Party

“Just wanted to say how much we enjoyed the party yesterday. My brother doesn’t say much and does not socialise outside the house or family so this was a chance for him to do so. The food was delicious so many thanks to you, your Mum and family members who I understand helped with the catering. A big thank you too to all the staff who entered into the spirit of Christmas and made the afternoon such a success. You seem like one big happy family.” -Richard A
